Last week at DATOC

March 8 – March 12

Last week, DATOC was focused on a request from the Science Subcommittee to expand previous models of ACP development in California, Florida, and Texas, to include Brazil. Thanks to collaboration with Brazilian researchers, this request is now complete.

Another ongoing project for the Science Subcommittee was also in the works this week: evaluating the value of the regulatory HLB/ACP management program and determining how or when it should change. A briefing resulting from a Tuesday meeting with DATOC’s economists is underway.

We reviewed a draft Citrus Insider blog post regarding the challenge of coordinating management measures for ACP and HLB.

We discussed a research project which evaluates different testing methods for HLB detection with the project’s PI, and will meet again the week of March 15th to provide analytical support for the project.
